Welcome to NMMC 93, Meet our change-makers in the making!
As a school leader at NMMC 93, I am privileged to be part of an institution that is dedicated to fostering a culture of learning, growth, and innovation. Established in 2018 by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation in collaboration with The Akanksha Foundation under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, our school is driven by a vision that every student will develop a strong sense of self, become a lifelong learner, and contribute positively to society as a responsible and compassionate change-maker.
At NMMC 93, we believe in empowering young minds to strive for excellence in academics and beyond. Our mission is to cultivate young change-makers through collaborative learning experiences, open discussion, and community service projects, enabling them to make informed choices. We place a strong emphasis on both academic excellence and life skills, guided by four core domains—Academic Achievement, Excellent Educators, Student Voice and Well-being, and Parent and Community Engagement and Development.
We recognize the limitless possibilities that lie within every child. Education for us is all about igniting a thirst for learning, nurturing curiosity, and fostering a spirit of inquiry. We hope that the passion for discovery and exploration survives in every student, leading them to develop a scientific temperament, ethical values, and a lifelong commitment to learning. Beyond academics, we emphasize the importance of humanity and compassion over anything else, ensuring that our students grow into individuals who prioritize kindness, inclusivity and a strong sense of justice.
Creating a safe and nurturing space is central to our philosophy, ensuring that students feel supported, valued, and surrounded by trusted adults. By fostering a growth mindset, we encourage both students and educators to take risks, embrace setbacks as learning opportunities, and evolve with renewed perspectives. Through meaningful collaboration with educators, families, and the wider community, we remain committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who excel academically and positively impact society.
Maya Angelou beautifully expressed, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.“ This resonates deeply with our school’s commitment to holistic education, ensuring that our students not only excel academically but also grow into compassionate and confident individuals.
The strong support we get from the NMMC’s Education Department and all senior leaders is the reason we stand tall. I am so proud to be a part of the team that includes so many passionate didis and bhaiyas, each one making each school day count by their commitment to see our kids move one day one step ahead at a time and multitasking with remarkable agility,Thank You seems too less of a word to capture the gratitude you deserve! Our role together is to ensure each one in the school team feels respected and valued for the diverse skills they bring to the table and that we all work in unison upholding the vision and culture of the school. The future of education depends on our collective efforts, and we are dedicated to making a lasting impact. We believe in this transformative power of education and strive every day to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to shape a better future.
We educators and parents who are our true partners in education hope to bring this philosophy in action and instill in our students the courage to take initiative, to act with kindness, and to contribute meaningfully to their communities. We encourage all members in school to remain true to self and be active citizens not just of the nation but of this planet, making wise, sustainable, and eco-friendly choices for a better future. I also take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the parents and volunteers who come to support us in various ways and make a great difference in augmenting our efforts. Last but not the least, we are left amazed and simply inspired when we see how much our kids are capable of teaching us life’s lessons, a big shout out to all our students, each one of you are the reason we are here.
Mahatma Gandhiji’s words continue to inspire our journey:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
