Academic Achievement
At NMMC School No. 93, our Pre-Primary curriculum is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning in every child. A key feature of our early years program is the Phonics approach, implemented in Nursery and Kindergarten. It uses interactive stories, actions, and songs, supported by age-appropriate texts and books, to help children build strong early literacy skills in a joyful and engaging way.

Technology Aided Learning (TAB) in Kindergarten
Integrating technology in Kindergarten classrooms plays a vital role in preparing young learners for the future. It fosters curiosity, supports active engagement, and enhances early learning experiences. Through TAB activities, children get access to interactive and age-appropriate digital content that helps build foundational skills such as:
Phonics and Language:
Learning letter sounds, rhymes, and sight words through audio-visual apps and games.
Numeracy
Strengthening number recognition, counting, and patterns with engaging videos and interactive activities.
Fine Motor Skills
Using tablets or touchscreen devices to trace letters, shapes, or draw freely, supporting writing readiness.
Collaboration
Partnering with peers in guided TAB sessions to promote social and communication skills.
Digital Literacy
Building early awareness of using devices responsibly and confidently through structured exposure.
Teachers use TAB as a blended approach—integrating technology alongside hands-on learning materials to make concepts more meaningful and enjoyable for Kindergarten children.
In Numeracy, we follow the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) model. Children explore mathematical concepts through hands-on materials and visual representations, gradually moving toward abstract understanding to ensure deep, meaningful learning.
Our thematic learning is rooted in real-world connections. Themes such as Community Helpers, The World Around Us, and My Family come alive through classroom activities and immersive learning experiences.
We have implemented Prepared Environments and Independent Learning Spaces in Nursery and Kindergarten to foster self-directed learning. These structured yet flexible spaces, guided by the Montessori pedagogical approach, support children’s autonomy and help build a foundation for academic growth.

Student Voice and Well-Being
Our focus extends beyond academics to ensure the holistic development of every child. Right from Kindergarteners, we introduce Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) Learning, which helps children develop essential life skills such as emotional identification, grounding techniques, and empathy. Personal Safety Education (PSE) sessions are conducted in collaboration with social workers, counselors, and teachers to instill a sense of self-awareness, particularly in the area of personal safety. These practices help to lay the foundation for emotional intelligence and personal growth. To promote joy and creativity, Fun Fridays are celebrated weekly by including exploration, sensory play, music, storytelling, and games, offering students playful opportunities to express themselves and explore the world.
The Art for Akanksha curriculum allows children to engage with a variety of art forms and materials, fostering imagination, self-expression, and emotional release.
Our Physical Education (PE) program is carefully crafted to develop both gross and fine motor skills through activities like obstacle courses, yoga, movement-based games, and balance exercises, helping build coordination, teamwork, and physical confidence.
Our monthly events and assemblies ensure 100% participation, giving every child a platform to showcase their learning and talents. These events help children gain confidence, develop a sense of belonging, and foster a supportive learning culture.
Parent and Community Engagement
We believe that strong partnerships with families and the community are essential for a child’s holistic development. Our school actively creates opportunities for parents and community members to engage meaningfully in the educational journey.
Parent Orientation Programs are conducted at the beginning of the academic year to familiarize parents with the school’s policies, procedures, and expectations. These sessions cover key areas such as attendance, homework, discipline, grading systems, and extracurricular activities.
We host monthly Parent Classes and Meetings to raise awareness on vital topics such as community involvement, cyber safety, milestone development, health and hygiene, safety practices, sensitization, SEE (Social, Emotional, and Ethical) learning, and skill-building workshops to empower parents with strategies they can use at home.
Goal-Setting Meetings are held at the start of the year in collaboration with students, parents, and teachers. These meetings help set clear developmental goals for each child, and regular follow-ups ensure progress is monitored and supported throughout the year.
Parent-Teacher-Student Meetings (PTSM) are conducted once every term to provide detailed feedback to parents about their child’s academic progress, strengths, and areas of improvement. These meetings help align school and home efforts to support each child effectively.
Parents are also encouraged to participate in small group teaching, classroom assessments, and volunteering activities. Their contributions are recognized through felicitation during school events, and volunteers are awarded certificates on completing a set number of hours.
To foster a deeper connection between school and community, we organize various community engagement events such as Karuna Utsav, Seva Week, Family Day, Parents’ Cricket Match, Sports Day, and more. Community Visits are planned on priorities and monthly basis for building connection with families and safety of our students. These events and activities bring together all stakeholders to celebrate, collaborate, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.
